Helium bubble nucleation and growth in alloy HT9 through the use of in situ TEM: Sequential he-implantation and heavy-ion irradiation versus dual-beam irradiation

چکیده

The formation of He bubbles in Ferritic/Martensitic steel HT9 is investigated through the use situ Transmission Electron Microscopy coupled with implantation and heavy ion irradiation. Of particular interest effect increasing appm/dpa ratio on growth bubbles, as well sequential order irradiation i.e. He-pre-implantation followed by heavy-ion versus true dual-beam role discussed.

Energetic heavy and light ion effects on gold nanoparticles were probed by irradiating 20 and 60 nm diameter nanoparticles with either 3 MeV Cu(3+) or 10 keV He(+) ions in situ inside of a transmission electron microscope.
